With all the technological advancements, it is important for there to good internet and computer security, especially in government. There has been a bill passed in congress that aims to improve the security of the internet infrastructure of the States. It is an important bill that was passed because it reaches more people than the current laws about security in place. Since more people are using the internet and internet phones, there are more chances of breaches to security. The text of the legislation has not yet been released, but the Los Angeles Times reports that it would require power-grid companies and other infrastructure utilities to disclose their information security procedures, and also provide legal immunity to all companies that inform the government of network intrusions and other threats.
