Page Based CMS
To understand the background for the term, it is important to look back on the history of content management system development and websites. In the beginning, before we had content management systems and database driven websites, you created websites by editing html pages stored in folders in the file system. It was a simple system, and it worked, but it also had a number of problems, the main ones that it was hard to maintain and difficult to edit, and I am not even touching on the issue of when there was a simple mistake hidden in the thousands of lines of text that made everything not function correctly. One of the fundamental traits of a page based CMS is the tree structure where all, or most of the content is stored. Page based CMSs usually excels at handling content that fits nicely with
the content tree, and the relatively simple content modeling
capabilities. Articles, blog posts and similar content is perfectly
suited for a page based CMS.

Increasing Mobile Sales
With an increasing number of smartphone users downloading mobile
applications for different phone
service providers, new research shows that more are apt to pay a small fee
for some of the services, causing experts to reassess the rising value of the
app market. The market for wireless phone applications will be worth $11 billion by 2014,
according to a new study by the Yankee Group. Developments in the sales of
smartphones also caused the research firm to change its prediction of $537
million in mobile app revenue in 2010 to almost twice that. The new report says
that Apple’s iPhone and AT&T have brought in the most revenue from wireless
phone applications. But Yankee Group director Carl Howe says that new mobile
operating systems offered by Google are giving gains to other telecoms. The Yankee Group
reassessment falls in line with other studies that predict booming sales of
smartphones in the coming years. The market is bound to expand, especially with the iPad hitting the stores
soon. The question here is if the mobile app developments and web development will be able to keep up.
